Product Overview
A produce bag has one job beyond holding: it must breathe at exactly the rate the contents respire — too tight and the fruit suffocates in condensed moisture, too open and it dries out. Micro-perforation patterns (hole size and density) are tuned per produce category, applied by laser or pin rollers to certified-compostable film bases (PBAT/PLA families), then converted into roll bags, wicket packs or carry formats. The compliance language needs care: compostability certificates are issued per film formulation and thickness, distinguish industrial from home composting, and the certification marks themselves may only be printed by arrangement with the certifier — all of which the bag supplier should document rather than assert. Print quality matters more on thin compostable films than on PE, where ink adhesion and blocking run tighter process windows. Manufacturers listed here run perforation-to-print-to-bag in one program, hold formulation-level compostability documentation, and support retail chains with shelf-edge messaging compliance for green claims.
