Product Overview
A Halbach array rotates the magnetization direction of successive NdFeB segments so the magnetic field adds on one face and largely cancels on the other — giving a stronger working-side field than a same-mass conventional arrangement and reducing back-iron requirements and stray flux. Chinese suppliers listed here build custom planar, cylindrical and ring Halbach assemblies from N42–N52 arc or block segments, bonding them with structural epoxy onto steel or aluminum backings and retaining them in aluminum or carbon-fiber sleeves against centrifugal and thermal stress. Typical uses include linear motor secondaries, maglev demonstrators, magnetic levitation fixtures, free-piston generators, particle-beam devices (undulators), magnetic refrigeration research and eddy-current braking. Ring-type arrays can be magnetized after assembly, which keeps handling safe before the array is energized and allows precise final field tuning.
